Happy Easter!

Still list-building. I thought of a new one:

try haggis.

For those of you non-scottish people (i.e. everyone with a tan), haggis is probably the grossest "delicacy" of Scotland. It is basically a sausage made out of sheep innards.

Why do I want to do this you ask? The same reason I want to do everything else on this list:

Just to say I did.

Apparently haggis is usually consumed with "gravy". This gravy is a shot of whiskey. Apparently this stuff is so gross you need your throat to burn so you don't actually taste it. I don't understand why this is still considered a scottish delicacy.

But I will do it. And there will be pictures.

  1. I've had haggis! Just once. A friend of mine is Scottish, born and raised; she married an American sailor & I met her through our husbands. She made haggis for us (well, a whole Scottish meal, that included haggis). Believe it or not, it really wasn't that bad. Some folks at the table even LIKED it. I might have liked it if I didn't know what it was made of. :) So, that's the trick: do not think about what you are eating!
